Decision to increase cooperation
Other members of the SCO include Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Representatives of SCO member countries have also approved the draft of the program of cooperation in terms of 2022-24 to fight terrorism, separatism and insurgency. A statement issued by the Council on Regional Counter Terrorism Framework said that it has been decided to increase cooperation between the competent authorities of the SCO member states in identifying and eliminating the channels for financing terrorist activities.
India attacked Pakistan
The RATS is headquartered in Tashkent. It is a permanent part of the SCO, which works to increase cooperation in member countries against terrorism, separatism and extremism. The next meeting of the RATS is scheduled to be held in Uzbekistan in September. In November last year, India targeted Pakistan fiercely at the SCO meeting. New Delhi took on Islamabad on the issue of cross-border terrorism. At a time when tensions between India, Pakistan and China have increased considerably, this joint anti-terrorism exercise is considered to be important.
